# Create your first community

> Create a project, share its public page, and receive your first feature request.

You need a Feedback Loop account. A Free account is enough to collect feedback and publish release notes.

## Set up a project

1. [Open the dashboard](https://feedbackloop.page/app) and sign in or create an account.
2. From **Projects**, choose **Create project**, enter a name, and create it.
3. Open the project's **Settings**. Add your website if you have one, then choose **Save project details**.
4. In **Public address**, open or copy the public link.
5. Share that link with your customers, for example from your website's Help menu.

Your community has a **Feature requests** board and **Release notes**. Active feature requests are publicly readable; release-note drafts remain private until you publish them. There is no separate switch to publish a feedback board.

## Try the visitor experience

Open the public page in a private browser window. You should be able to read the board. Choose **Suggest a feature** and sign in when prompted. After returning, submit your request. Signing in does not automatically submit a request or cast a vote.

By default, visitors use a Feedback Loop account. [Website sign-in](/sign-in/overview) is optional and requires Pro plus a server integration.

## Next steps

[Customize the appearance](/customize/appearance), [manage feature requests](/community/feature-requests), or [publish a release note](/community/release-notes).

If the public page is unavailable, confirm that the project still exists and copy its current link from Settings. See [troubleshooting](/help/troubleshooting).
