# ChatGPT

> Add Feedback Loop as a custom MCP plugin in ChatGPT.

Use ChatGPT on the web to review feedback and prepare customer updates. Your workspace must allow custom MCP plugins; workspace permissions and security restrictions can limit availability.

## Add Feedback Loop

1. Open [ChatGPT Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins).
2. Select **+ → Add custom MCP server** and name it **Feedback Loop**.
3. Under **Connection**, enter this server URL:

```text theme={null}
https://feedbackloop.page/api/mcp
```

4. Choose **OAuth** authentication. Open **Advanced OAuth settings**, confirm **Dynamic Client Registration (DCR)** and keep the discovered scopes.
5. Review the risk warning, select **I understand and want to continue**, then **Create as a plugin**.
6. Complete **Connect Feedback Loop** when prompted. Sign in with your Feedback Loop owner account, select projects and choose **Read** or **Manage** for each, then approve access.
7. Find the resulting plugin in your personal or workspace plugins and **install** it if needed.

Read includes unpublished drafts; Manage also permits public writes. See [project access and disconnection](https://docs.feedbackloop.page/integrations/ai-agents.md#review-or-disconnect-access).

Add the Feedback Loop server in ChatGPT with OAuth and dynamic client registration.

Choose projects and access levels in Feedback Loop. This example connection uses a browser MCP client.

## Use it in a conversation

Open the plugin and select **Try in chat**, or type **@** in the prompt box and select the installed **Feedback Loop** plugin. Start with a connection check:

> Call `list_projects` once and report the available project names and access levels. Do not open feedback, discussions or release drafts, and do not change anything.

A real ChatGPT connection check returned the approved Feedback Loop project with Read access.

The connection provides MCP tools; it does not automatically install skills. Specify any changes you want ChatGPT to make, such as saving an unpublished draft or posting a reviewed reply.

If Feedback Loop is missing from the picker, check that the plugin is installed and permitted in your workspace. Review or revoke its Feedback Loop access in account **Settings → AI Agents / MCP**. To change approved projects or access levels, disconnect and reconnect.

These steps follow the [official OpenAI guide to custom MCP servers](https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/custom-mcp-server).
